Superintendent Search

At the October 10, 2022, Special Board meeting, the Board of Education voted to retain BWP & Associates for the superintendent search. 

The Green Bay Area Public School District School Board currently seeks a leader that is an engaging, dynamic and transformational leader who embraces the district’s mission to educate all students to be college, career and community ready, inspired to succeed in our diverse world. Green Bay Area Public School District (GBAPSD) is the fourth largest public school district in the State of Wisconsin. The ideal candidate will have an accomplished record as an instructional leader in a diverse school system, with a thorough understanding of instructional supervision and continuous school improvement, outstanding communication skills, and a proven commitment to equity and promoting opportunities for all students. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of effective literacy practices, and have experience in successfully leading a team that has positively impacted student achievement for all students. The ideal candidate should bring experience in addressing budget constraints and demonstrate an ability to work with all stakeholders to determine priorities. The district desires a Superintendent that will provide stability and a vision of success as the community celebrates the recent passing of a $92.6 million dollar facilities referendum.

April Board meeting - Board approves the next superintendent's contract

SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH SURVEY RESULTS - On January 16, BWP & Associates presented the Leadership Profile, which was developed from  input provided through the superintendent search survey and focus groups. BWP & Associates will use the Leadership Profile to select candidates to bring forward for the Board of Education to interview.

- Please complete the following 7-10 minute survey, answering each question honestly. Your answers are kept completely confidential. Our consultant, BWP & Associates, will compile and analyze the feedback and provide the Board of Education with a detailed report based on the findings. The survey closed on Sunday, January 1, 2023.

FOCUS GROUPS - Multiple focus groups (both in-person and virtual) were held on January 10, 2023 so that BWP could hear from various perspectives.
