UWGB Visits Food Service

The Green Bay Area Public Schools Food Service production center welcomed students from the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay campus’ Nutrition & Dietetics Program on March 12, 2026. 

Students from the Quantity Foods course toured the building and tried their hand working on the packing line. 

Quality Assurance Specialist Amy Dose and Food Service Assistant Director Amanda Frisque talked to students about child nutrition programs, working in K-12 food service, and their experiences going from nutrition undergraduates to food service professionals. 

One of the UW-Green Bay students in attendance graduated from Preble High School.

Collaborating with other educational institutions to support the workforce of future food service staff is important to GBAPS and the Food Service team.
