Summer EBT

The Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) program provides food benefits for families of eligible students to use during the months between school years.

The State of Wisconsin is providing Summer EBT money to select families. Summer EBT is available for families who receive free or reduced-price meals at school. Some households may need to apply for this program. You can view the criteria to qualify and apply on the Wisconsin application for Summer EBT.

Getting Summer EBT does not affect whether your child can get other benefits, such as meals offered at summer schools or summer meals in the parks! Getting Summer EBT also does not affect your child’s or family’s immigration status.

If you have other questions about the Summer EBT program, please visit the Summer EBT webpage. You can also email your questions to dhssebtsupport@wi.gov

If you move or need to change your contact information before benefits start to be issued in May 2025, update your contact information with your school office. You can also tell the state using the Department of Health Services’ Benefit Management Tool. To opt-out of the Summer EBT money, visit the management tool.

Note: updating on this Summer EBT webpage does not update your student’s Infinite Campus account, please update with your school office.
